Misc. Comments
Nice, bright, coffee shop with a lot of natural light that streams in from their front window. Eight 2-seat tables, two sets of tables were moved to create four-seaters on our visit. Two comfortable sitting areas. One with 2 fabric-covered chairs. The second with a fabric-covered sofa (comfortably seats 2 people) and a traditional coffee table.
There is an outdoor seating area with two tables for patrons who prefer to sit outside while enjoying their coffee.
They also offer a selection of pastries, bottled waters, and other drinks. One interesting feature we haven’t seen before is Sanctuaries’ selection of homemade syrups you can have added to your favorite coffee drink. Limited selection but definitely different than the processed, corporate syrup selection from most shops.
We love their LIVE plant wall with its own feed of water, which keeps the plants well hydrated in their PVC pipe homes. Pretty interesting and a great decorative feature.

Great parking, easy in & out, easy access from the I-40 just west of Greensboro. Great location, can you say “Billboard Advertising”, – if affordable – it might help coffee lovers know Sanctuary Coffee Co. is here and hopefully convince them to bypass the cookie-cutter Starbucks just down the road.
They are serving coffee roasted by Hatchett Coffee Roasters based in Boone, North Carolina. While my Americano was decent, it was strong. I love strong coffee, but this was almost Espresso strong. If you love strong coffee this is a shop for you.
